day 06: Yazd According to UNESCO, Yazd is one of the oldest cities in the world; it is like a living museum. We will visit narrow alleys, the highest wind tower of city which keeps the building cool, Friday mosque from 14th century and the silk weaving workshop where exquisite brocades are still made on traditional looms. day 07: Yazd- Isfahan In the morning we will explore on foot this ancient city and visit a Zoroastrian temple where sacred fire has been kept alive for hundreds of years and is now a Zoroastrian pilgrim centre. This is an opportunity to learn about Zoroastrianism which had been the Persian religion until Arabs brought Islam to Iran. Then go to Towers of Silence on outskirts of the city, which was a burial place for Zoroastrian. In the afternoon drive to Isfahan, en route we will visit Nareen Castle & an old caravanserai in Meibod and a carpet workshop in Naeen. O/N Isfahan.
day 08: Isfahan In the morning we will visit Imam square, the huge open square in center of Isfahan with four monuments at four sides including Imam mosque covered inside and outside with intricate turquoise tiles, The smaller Sheikh Lotfollah mosque contains some of the best mosaics from 17th century, Ali Ghapoo Palace which was the first skyscraper in Iran and Isfahan bazaar where you can visit the workshop of artists who paint miniature sometimes on bone. In the afternoon, we will visit Si-o-Se Pol (thirty three) and khajoo bridges over zayanderud, relax in one of the traditional tea houses , drink tea and smoke Persian water pipe. O/N Isfahan.

day 08: Hamedan – Kermanshah Drive to Kermanshah, en route we will visit Anahita complex, built in honor of the female guardian of waters, in Kangavar. Continue to Bisotun which can be called a living museum of Iranian civilization from ancient time to present with the biggest Cuneiform inscription (tablet of Darius I), where you also visit the stone statue of Hercules in the mountain. day 09: Kermanshah – Khorramabad Drive from the fold belt of Zagros Mountain. Continue to Khorramabad, once the center of Assassins who imposed a guerrilla war against non Iranian rulers in 11-12th century, and visit Falak-al-Aflac castle, O/N Khorramabad.

day 04: Rasht – Masuleh – Astara Morning drive toward the mountain village of Masuleh with yellow-clay external façade of the houses. In fact this 1000-year-old village resembles an anthropological and architectural museum. Then continue to Astara, a border city. day 05: Astara- Heyran Pass- Ardebil – Shurabil Lake After breakfast drive toward Ardebil. The route winds its way up along a river to top of mountains, passing through steep gorges named Heyran pass. In Ardebil we will visit Sheikh Safi-Al-Din (the great Sufi) mausoleum with dome of Allah Allah (about 56 feet high) above the resting place, Ardebil bazaar composed of all elements formed a traditional bazaar like small shops, aisles, public bath and a mosque in the center. Continue to Shurabil Lake, have a stop there for photo opportunity. Then drive toward Sarein. O/N Sarein.

day 06: Sarein – Lahrood – Meshkin Shahr – Ahar – Tabriz Sarein is a Spa region with numerous hot mineral springs of various temperatures known for their therapeutic values. Drive to Tabriz. En route you’ll pass through Lahroud, Meshkin Shahr and Ahar (well known for carpet). Tabriz was the capital of Armenia. There we will visit the 13th century blue mosque (Masjid Kaboud) and El Goli, a pleasant hillside garden around an artificial lake. O/N Tabriz.
day 07: Tabriz-Maku Drive to Maku valley at the very NW of Iran. There you’ll view the 1000-year-old Ghare Kelisa (black Church) which is the graveyard of Saint Thaddeus and located at the foot of a hill. Black and white stones were applied in its construction. day 08: Tabriz – Kandovan In the morning drive toward Kandovan Village, a living example of human adaptation to exceptionally unusual natural surrounding. day 09: Tabriz – Maragheh – Takab Drive to Takab, en route we will visit Blue & Red domes of Maragheh and Ghaffariyeh dome. One of UNESCO’s world heritages is in Takab named Takht-e Soleiman (Throne of Salomon) built around a small lake about 3rd century AD. There are remains of buildings from various periods. O/N Takab.
day 10: Takab- Hamedan Drive to Hamedan ,en route we will visit in Soltanieh (means town of Sultans) , The 700-year- old Soltanieh dome, the great mausoleum of a Mongol Sultan, the third highest dome in the world (after Blue Mosque in Istanbul and St Paul’s in London). O/N Hamedan.

Reza Abbasi Museum
Reza Abbasi Museum was opened in 1356 S.H. in front of Electronic College of Khaje Nasir Toosi University and it was named Reza Abbasi in memory of the famous Kashan painter.
Approximately 50000 items are kept in this museum. The building has three stories that the visitor movement has been planned to start from the third floor downward. The materials kept in the museum are exhibited in five halls: pre-history hall (the third floor); Islamic art halls 1 & 2 (the second floor); Miniature hall (the first floor); calligraphy hall (the first floor); and a hall for temporary exhibitions (the ground floor). The items here are exhibited chronologically in such a way that the visitors can follow the evolution process of Persian art, civilization and culture; this installation style is unique among other Iran museums.

After Breakfast, check out to drive to city of Yazd. Visit old part of the city time permitting. Lunch and dinner will be in a local restaurant.

The religious and cultural center of Tsaghkadzor is the Monastery Complex of Kecharis, which was completely reconstructed in 2001. This place is loved not only by natives but also by tourists. Kecharis monastery, is located 60 km from Yerevan in the ski resort town of Tsaghkadzor. Kecharis is a group of 4 churches, and it is one of the well-preserved medieval architectural samples of the Armenian Highland. It founded by Pahlavuni prince in honor of Gregory the Illuminator in 1033 in the 11th century, and construction continued until the middle of the 13th century.

Is not only one of the largest lakes in Armenia and the Caucasus region but also one of the largest high-altitude lakes in the world. It is situated in the central part of the Republic of Armenia inside the Gegharkunik Province, at the altitude of 1,900m above sea level. The total surface area of its basin is about 5,000 km2. Out of the three great lakes of the historical Armenian Kingdom, Sevan is the only one that remains within the boundaries of modern Armenia.
Sevanavank
Is a monastic complex located on a peninsula at the northwestern shore of Lake Sevan in the Gegharkunik Province of Armenia, not far from the town of Sevan. The monastery was founded in 874 by King Ashot I, the first king of the Bagratid kingdom, and his daughter Mariam. Two churches remain, St. Arakelots and Astvatsatsin. The island monastery was, according to historians of the time, used both for worship and pilgrimage.
Day 9: Tour to Garni Temple and Geghard Monastery
The Temple of Garni is one of the oldest sights in Armenia. The structures of Garni combine elements of Hellenistic and national culture. The temple is in perfect harmony with the surrounding nature.
The bath-house
is situated in the northern part of the square. The most interesting part of the bath building is the mosaic dating back to the third century. It is made of natural stones featuring 15 various color. It has 4 rooms – dressing room, cold water bath, warm room, hot water room.
The monastery of Geghard
is a unique architectural construction in the Kotayk province of Armenia. The Monastery founded by Gregory the Illuminator. The Monastery is listed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Today Geghard monastery is one of the most popular places in Armenia.
Day 10: Visit Etchmiadzin Mother Cathedral, Museum Treasures of Echmiatsin, Gayane and Hripsime churches, return to Yerevan.
Etchmiadzin is one of the historic capitals of Armenia and the main religious center of the Armenian people with the Etchmiadzin Cathedral, the most important Armenian Apostolic church, located in the city.
Hripsime Church
Saint Hripsime Church is one of the oldest surviving churches in Armenia. The church was erected by Catholicos Komitas atop the original mausoleum built by Catholicos Sahak the Great in 395 AD that contained the remains of the martyred Saint Hripsime to whom the church was dedicated. The structure was completed in 618 AD. It is known for its fine Armenian-style architecture of the classical period, which has influenced many other Armenian churches since. This church together with other nearby sites is a UNESCO World Heritage Site.
Day 11: Visit Tatev Monastery and the ropeway, Devil’s bridge, departure
Tatev (ropeway)
Tatev Gateway, home of the world’s longest non-stop reversible aerial tramway, an unforgettable route to Armenia’s medieval Tatev Monastery built in the 9th century. The tramway was opened on October 16, 2010. Just days later it was recorded in the Guinness World Records Book as the world’s longest non-stop reversible aerial tramway with a length of 5,752 meters.
Devil’s bridge
It is a natural wonder of petrified lava, carved out and polished by water and wind over thousands of years. The width of this natural bridge to Tatev Monastery is 60 meters, and the length is 30 meters. Not far from the bridge you can take a bath in the curing waters of local hot springs surrounded by brilliantly colored stalactites.
